 BILL GATES Nació en Seattle, Washington, el 28 de octubre de 1955 en una familia clase media, hijo de un abogado, Henry Gates y una maestra, Mary Ann Maxwell Gates, William (Bill) Henry Gates III . Desde el séptimo grado comenzó a estudiar en Lakeside, una escuela privada de élite de Seattle. Era la única escuela que en 1968 contaba con una computadora, el gran descubrimiento con el que se apasionaría y cambiaría su vida. Además, fue ahí mismo donde también conoció a Paul Allen , su mejor amigo y socio. Durante la estancia de Gates en Harvard, 1975; Gates y Allen fundaron una empresa de diseño de software , Microsoft . En 1976 desarrollan una versión del lenguaje de programación “ Basic ” para Altair, el primer ordenador o computadora personal.
